Today, I decided to put everything else off. The box that needs to go out can wait, the floors that need to be mopped and vacuumed can wait, and my endless list of to-dos can wait... just for today. With daddy still gone, today seemed impossible. After a few days without daddy, Ave starts getting over emotional and that leads to a worn out me who just can find my "inner patience". So we left. We left everything that was exhausting us. We headed to our favorite place, Avila. And after a day of picking peaches and berries, tractor rides, feeding the goats, yummy, fresh produce and the beautiful ocean...we somehow just. felt. better.
Sometimes you need a break... from life, from to-dos, and from schedules to just laugh and for a moment, forget all else and just enjoy being together.
She was so proud that she picked all this by herself!

I know exactly how you feel! And on another note, those last two pictures of Graysen make him look SO GROWN UP! Holy cow!
amen kristen! after all, if we don't take time to enjoy them when they are little, then what's the point? I love the pic of Ave and the peaches, she DID inherit some farmgirl tendancies!! We can hardly wait the 3 more weeks to see you all! Love you!

So true Kristen! We had to do the same thing a couple days ago. Ours was a trip to a used bookstore in Lompoc. Glad the 3 of you had a fun adventure!
