1...2...3...JUMP!

Here is Ave's new favorite thing. Who said girls aren't as daring as boys, this girl is fearless!

Baby Boy Burdette

18 weeks, 2 days

Today was our follow up ultrasound to check on the hematoma and see baby's progress. The doctor said the hematoma is close enough to resolved! He said it has been mostly absorbed and everything with the placenta and uterus looks normal and healthy. Praise Jesus! It resolved itself much more quickly than they expected!

As for baby, he is doing very well. He looks good and healthy, all parts accounted for. Doc said he is measuring a bit on the large side, great...I'm hoping that means he is tall! We have yet to decide on a name so we would love any suggestions!

Thanks to all for the prayers, we were so blessed to have such a good report!

Daddy Hair Day!

This is what happens when mommy's not around to do Ave's hair and Daddy does it!? One day Ben did Ave's hair, so with her help, this is what they came up with!

Baby Update

For all of those who can't tell what that arrow in the picture is pointing to...it looks like we're having a BOY! We ended up finding out a little earlier that expected due to some complications. It looks as though everything should be just fine. I had to promise to take it as easy as possible, which is more difficult that you'd think it would be! We found out that I have a subchorionic hematoma, which is a blood clot in between the placenta and the uterus. When we talked to the specialist he said that most cases clear up by the twentieth week so we are praying that is what will happen! As long as the hematoma shrinks and does not grow any bigger, everything should clear itself up.

Ave and I had plans to go back to Montana to visit family next week, which is on hold until the doctor clears me. So please be thinking of us and praying that all will turn out just fine! The good news is that the baby has a strong heartbeat and his measurements are right on!

Dance!

I decided that it was time to get Avery involved in something here. When we were in Montana, our days were filled with swimming lessons, playgroups and gymnastics. Well, we haven't found much of that here, yet. But I did get her enrolled in a program called KinderDance. It is a wonderful program and the teacher is phenomenal! She has been twice so far and she is loving it! The program she is in teaches tap and ballet, but they also incorporate learning colors, numbers and the French language into each structured session. The teach has very high expectations for her which I love. I think sometimes people overlook what a two year old is capable of! I went yesterday and got her tap shoes and ballet slippers and her leotards, which she looks SO CUTE in! Here are a few pictures of her before dance class today. Her first recital is in June so I will make sure to keep everyone updated!
