So Sweet

I could write a hundred times about how blessed I am to have Avery and Graysen, and it wouldn't be enough. Some days are hard and patience can wear very thin but then they do something that will all of a sudden make it ALL worth it!

She can make him smile and laugh more than anyone!

Valentine's WEEKEND

Valentine's Day this year was totally awesome because it landed on the Sunday of a three day weekend. So of course, we took advantage and put everything else on hold to enjoy some family time. And not to mention, we had gorgeous California weather. It was between 70 and 75 degrees all weekend, which reminded me why I love it here so much!

Avery was really into Valentine's Day this year so we tried to make it special for her. She hand-painted daddy a card, we went to lunch with some friends after church, went shopping and instead of making a nice dinner, by Ben and Avery's request we had heart-shaped PB&Js for dinner. Can't say as how I minded?!

On Saturday, we went down to Santa Barbara and enjoyed walking along the beach. Graysen wasn't quite as thrilled as Avery to be at the beach but I think it will grow on him.

And here is our crazy attempt to get a family picture for Valentine's Day!

Ballet

Avery has been taking dance lessons for ten months now and has shown great progress. She went from standing absolutely still, not talking through the whole class to playing model student and showing new students how to do it like an old pro! She has been in a tap and ballet class but now that she is turning three, I have switched her to a more advanced ballet and jazz class, where is has really advanced. Her teacher is a young, bouncy girl who has been in ballet since she was Avery's age, and Ave just adores her.

Lots of Love

These two are getting to be too cute! Avery tells me that she is no longer a girl, she's a big sister. The other morning she could hardly wait for him to wake up, "But I miss him, and he's my best friend" she told me, how could I resist that?

The other night, I was putting these two to bed and she wanted him to lay with her while I read her bedtime story. But then the true sister came out when I asked her if he could sleep with her and she said, "NO!! This is my bed, he has to sleep in his bed!"

Who's Who?

We just can't decide who Graysen looks like. Just as with any new baby, every one has their own opinion and everyone sees somebody different. When he was first born, he looked a lot like Avery but now he has totally different characteristics that are unique to him! It is fun to watch him change, and to look back at how much Avery has changed and how different she is now, almost three years later.

Graysen is ThReE MoNtHs!

Three months already and I can hardly keep up with these two. Graysen is growing so fast, I took him to the doctor last Monday and he was already 14 pounds?! This month has been rough for him, as we are trying to get rid of his thrush and he is working on getting in his bottom teeth! But through all this, he is still all smiles and we'll even get a giggle out of him here and there.
